Presentation of the company

History

1974:  Foundation of Léo Désilets herboriste with the marketing of Fir balsam gum.  Broadening of the product line with additions of products like pine gum, spruce gum, herbs, roots and barks.

1985:  Sylvain Désilets, Leo's youngest son, joins his father.

1989:  Léo Désilets herbalist becomes Herbes de l'Estrie Inc.

1993:  Gérald Désilets, Leo's oldest son, joins the company.

1993:  Construction of a manufacturing laboratory, of 3 400 square feet, on Park street.  Leo's basement and garage were too small for the production which was constantly increasing.

1995:  Benoit Fortin joins the company.

1997:  Herbes de l'Estrie Inc. changes it's name for Léo Désilets maître herboriste Inc.

2000:  First expansion of the laboratory.  Addition of 5 400 square feet.

2004:  Second expansion of the laboratory.  Addition of 3 600 square feet.

2005:  Creation of the subsidiary company Façoteck Packaging responsible for the production of natural health and cosmetics products for private label companies.

2008:  Third expansion of the laboratory.  Addition of 10 000 square feet.  The company now has over 22 400 square feet enabling us to better serve our clients!

Today, the company has more than 20 employees, and manufactures more than 200 natural health and cosmetic products, commercialized under the name Léo Désilets maître herboriste Inc.  As for Façoteck Packaging, the business is in constant growth.
